OverviewMorris dancing is a form of traditional English folk dance. We are a sociable group of dancers and musicians who aim to spread the joy of Morris Dancing and keep this great tradition going. We welcome men and women who wish to dance or play music to our Morris 'side' with the aim to have fun, entertain folk and make friends! It's good for both your physical and mental health! Beginners are welcome, no experience is necessary. When/where we meetDuring the cooler months we practice on Tuesday evenings at The Croft Bar Function Room (Lyndsay Drive, OX14 2RT, by Peachcroft shops) starting at 8pm for around an hour each week. Our winter practice season starts the week after the Michaelmas Fair. From April onwards we dance out at various venues in Abingdon, the surrounding villages and at special events. We helpAdults who are physically able to dance. Our primary purpose is the enjoyment and promotion of the Abingdon tradition of Morris dancing. We welcome beginners with open arms!
