Activity

ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children) is a local registered charity which operates in Oxfordshire primary school to help children who are struggling with reading, reluctant readers or lacking in self-confidence and need some 1-2-1 adult time.

Volunteer's commitment

All it takes is one and half hours twice a week, during school term-time, in a primary school near the volunteer.

Volunteer requirements

All volunteers need is to:

• have good communication skills

• like children

• enjoy reading

• be patient and adaptable

• be over 18

Safeguarding

All volunteers attend a 2 day training course and we complete DBS vetting
